For The Film Experience, I took part in “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” in which you pick your favorite shot from a chosen film. This edition covers Guillermo Del Toro’s Best Picture nominee, Nightmare Alley.

While I was not the biggest fan of the film, this shot encapsulates the gothic tone Del Toro was trying to achieve. Yes, all the mysticism are lies, but if you are going to lie, make it count. This is the perfect example of making the lie count.
